Eva Lois Tarpley (Madewell) Age 81, passed away at Hospice of Dayton on September 6, 2013. Eva was born on July 30, 1932 in Kansas to Roosevelt and Brownie Madewell. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Kenneth Madewell. She is survived by her husband Don W. Tarpley (Farmersville) of 63 years and her children Patsy C. Pierce of Spingboro, Betty J. Crews (Kenny) of Farmersville and David R. Tarpley (Sharon) of Huber Heights. Her six grandchildren, Susie Bliss, Melissa Himmelbauer, Sheila Crews, Angela Crews, Ryan Tarpley and Darrin Tarpley and six great grandchildren, Katlyn, Emily, MacKenzie, Hannah, Grant and Luca. Also survived by her loving sisters Marie (Gerald) Burke and Barbara (Terry) Ray and numerous nieces and nephews and John, a special friend who would sing and pray with her. Eva was raised in Cookeville, TN and later after marrying Don moved to Dayton, OH where they chose to raise their family. Eva retired from GM in 1985. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many. She will be missed and her memory will live within our hearts forever. Private Graveside service for family will be on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria , OH. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton. 324 Wilmington Ave. Dayton, OH 45420.
