Alma "Lorene" Whitescarver

WHITESCARVER, Alma "Lorene" Age 79 of New Lebanon, passed away Friday, March 30, 2012. Lorene was born on July 12, 1932 in Logan Co., KY to her parents Riley & Minnie Whitman. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Buck Pogue; second husband, Herman Whitescarver; grandson, Terry Luther Barger; son-in-law, Dr. Joseph Olszewski; 4 brothers, Jimmy Whitman, Leslie Whitman, Milton Whitman, and Gene (Jewel) Whitman; also 3 sisters, Ellabell (Harold) Mays, Effie Mae (Richard) Blake, and Tennie Shemwell; and brother-in-law, Jack Krowder. She is survived by her husband, Don Whitescarver; sister, Ruth Krowder; sisters-in-law, Flossie & Sybil Whitman; brother-in-law, Thomas Shemwell; 2 sons, Eddie (Debbie) Pogue, and Herman "Rocky" Whitescarver; 4 daughters, Linda Olszewski, Theresa (Terry) Barger, Carol (Paul) Jenkins, and Sharon (Ben) Campbell. Grandchildren; Angie (Richard) Greenwell, Kim Pogue, Amanda (Bobby) Crooks, and Quinten Pogue; Laura (Steve) Gardiner, David Mann, Shannon (Matt) Queen, Brandon Barger, Travis (Amanda) Barger, Chris, Ashley, & Ryan Jenkins, Rachel (Rick) Kopfler, Wade (Darlene) Campbell; and 15.5 grandchildren. Lorene loved bowling, gardening, and her family. A Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tues., April 3, 2012 at Rogers' Funeral Home, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon 45345. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
