Some people leave behind memories. Others leave behind a little piece of themselves in everything beautiful around us. Amanda Jo Talley was one of those people.
Amanda was a loving mother, mama, daughter, sister, partner, and friend whose kindness, strength, and unforgettable spirit touched everyone lucky enough to know her. She had a heart full of love, a mind of her own, and a voice she was never afraid to use. She was unapologetically herself, and that was one of the many things that made her so special.
Above everything else, Amanda loved her children and family. They were her world, her greatest pride, and the most important part of her life. She found happiness in life's simple beauties—the warmth of sunshine, a good game of uno, tending to her plants, the peacefulness of the beach, and anything and everything purple. She had a special way of making ordinary moments feel like memories worth holding onto.
Amanda leaves behind her beloved daughter, Sierra (Jake) Talley-Collins, and their three children, Asher, Jasper, and Kyler; her sons, Noah (Macie) Kraft; their children Bentley and Lucas; Owen Kraft; and Bryce Kraft. She also leaves behind her loving mother, Lisa (Russ) Baker; her brothers, Jason (Andrea) Keener and Travis (Jamie) Keener; stepsister; Tiffany (Dustin) Baker; stepbrothers; Nick (Brittney) Baker, and Kris Baker; her partner, and better half, Shawndell Wright; and her cherished four-legged companion, Zeva. Lifelong friend; Mariann Stikeleather; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other close friends and family.
While her family wishes more than anything that they could have just one more hug, one more conversation, or one more day with her, they will carry her love with them for the rest of their lives.
Amanda's story does not end here. It lives on in her children, in the laughter of her grandchildren, in the people she loved, and in all the little things that will forever remind us of her.
So, when you see the color purple, think of Amanda.
When your toes touch the sand and you hear the waves crashing against the shore, think of her.
When you see a palm tree swaying in the breeze, a beautiful plant growing toward the sunshine, or feel the warmth of the sun on your face, let it remind you that a little piece of Amanda is still with you.
She was so much more than the years she was given. She was a mommy, a mama, a daughter, a sister, someone's better half, and a beautiful soul who deserved a lifetime of tomorrows. Someone beautiful who was taken far too soon.
Amanda Jo Talley will be loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and remembered in every shade of purple and every ocean breeze.
Until we meet again, Mommy. We will look for you in every sunset, every palm tree, and every beautiful shade of purple. We love you forever. 💜
