Ann E. Muncy

MUNCY, Ann Elizabeth Age 84 of New Lebanon, went to Heaven on Thursday, December 10, 2020. She was born in Blue Diamond, Kentucky on September 4, 1936 to her parents, Lemmie & Phoebe (Campbell) Eastridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn Sheldon Muncy; 2 brothers, Charles Paul Eastridge and Samuel K. Eastridge; and sister, Sylvia Abbott. Ann is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Muncy; son, John (Wendy) Muncy; sisters-in-law, Jean Eastridge & Elva Hale; brothers-in-law, James Abbott, Bady (Phyllis) Muncy, & John Muncy; 3 grandchildren, Allen (Laura) Graham, Julia (Jambi) Ysbrand, and Stephen Glenn Muncy; and 4 great-grandchildren, Graham Sheldon & Vivian Elizabeth Ysbrand, and Samuel Allen IV and Elijah Lowell Graham; Numerous Cousins, Nephews and Nieces. Ann retired from Good Samaritan Hospital, and fulfilled her true calling which was to be a Foster Parent. Ann specialized in children that were in need of special care, surgeries, and services. When a child was in her home, Ann would see that that child received the very best possible care for their physical needs, but more importantly met their emotional and personal needs as well. Her selflessness and tireless tenacity earned her the “Foster Parent of the Year” Award from Montgomery County Children’s Services. Ann was a foster parent and later became a proud grandparent again when Stephen was made a permanent part of the Muncy Family. The Muncy Family would like to thank the awesome STNA’s and nurses that cared for Ann. Their support, friendship and care will be forever cherished. Visitation will be held from 10:00am to 11:30am with funeral service to follow at 11:30 on Monday, December 14th at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery.
