Anna Marie Back, born on September 14, 1939, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2026.

Marie was the cherished daughter of Drew and Frona Justice. She later married Paul Back on December 31, 1955.

Throughout her years, Marie was especially proud to serve as a Pastor’s wife since 1981 at Open Door Pentecostal Church in Dayton. Her presence and dedication enriched the spiritual fabric of her congregation, where she was respected and admired by all whose lives she touched. Marie’s commitment to her church community was always evident, and her faith provided a guiding light for her family and friends.

Her deepest joys stemmed from her family. Marie is survived by her beloved daughter, Emma Elaine (Ernest) Moore; her son, David Back, and ex-daughter-in-law, Wendy; also her treasured grandchildren, Michael, Amy, Donny, and Brandi; 8 great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Norma Back. She is also survived by many more extended family, church family and friends. Each of them carries forward the values and love that she instilled so profoundly.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Back; her father, Drew Justice; her mother, Frona Justice; her grandson, David Allen Back; her brothers, Arthur, Everett, Herman, and Wilbern Justice; and her sisters, Myrtle Wilson and Mary Blevins.

Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm on Friday, July 31, 2026 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Funeral service to begin at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
