Ava Frances Barnett

BARNETT, Ava Frances Age 86 of Trotwood, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 with her loving family by her side. Ava was born in Wake Co., North Carolina on Oct. 21, 1924 to her parents William & Ava (Oxendine) Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Zephie; and granddaughter, Jennifer Lynne. Survived by her son John and wife Debbie Barnett; 2 grandsons, John D. and wife Julie Barnett, and Shawn (Emily) Barnett; 1 step-grandson, Jason Davis; 7 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Shelby, Mitchell, Jacob, Zachary, Olivia, and Ava; and several good friends. Ava was a skilled at needle point and crocheting and was a very good seamstress. She was a longtime member of Grace United Methodist Church. Ava was also very proud of her Native American heritage. A Celebration of her life will be held 10:30 AM on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011 at the Trotwood United Church of Christ, 18 N. Broadway St., Trotwood, OH 45426, with Pastor Lawrence Rezash officiating.
