Barbara L. Arnold

ARNOLD, Barbara L. Age 83 of Dayton, passed away after a lengthy illness on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Hospice of Dayton. She was born on Sept. 3, 1929 to her parents, David and Anna (Hittle) Riley in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, James Arnold; and 1 brother, John "Sonny" Riley. Barbara is survived by 3 sons, James (Kody) Arnold III; Howard Arnold, and Walter (Susan) Arnold; 3 daughters, Cathy Arnold, Ruth Arnold, and Lucy (Mark) Wilkins; sister-in-law, Charlene Riley; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Stephanie, Stephen (Katie), Casey (Ryan), Gabe, Karly, and Kaden; 3 great-grandchildren, Joseph, Julianna, and Madison; 2 nieces, Tammy, Debbie, and Marie; and 1 nephew, Frank; also special friends, Sharon Wenger, Lee Layman, and Mandy Williams; and many more friends and family members. Barbara worked at New Lebanon Schools as a cook for over 25 years. She also enjoyed taking tickets for sporting events. She will be missed. Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at Rogers' Funeral Home, New Lebanon with Pastor Kevin Schuller officiating. Interment will follow at Trissel Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Barbara.
