GRIBLER, Barbara A. (Puderbaugh) Age 79, of Trotwood, unexpectedly passed away Thursday December 7, 2017. She was born January 15, 1938 in Dayton to the late Franklin and Vivian Puderbaugh. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Rob Puderbaugh. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Jerry Gribler; daughter, Debbie (David) Gracey; son, Tim (Kelly) Gribler; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Brianna, Alexandra, Haley, and Sophia; brother, David (Jane) Puderbaugh; sister-in-law, Mary (Ken) Morrow; and numerous nieces and nephews. Barbara earned her Bachelor’s degree from Otterbein College and went on to be the treasurer of the Dayton area Otterbein Women Alumni. She was an elementary school teacher for several years and co-owned the Elf Christmas Shop for 30 years. For 55 years, Barbara was the music director for Fairview United Methodist Church and taught Sunday School. A visitation will be held Wednesday December 13 from 4PM to 8PM at Fairview United Methodist Church, 828 W Fairview Ave, Dayton, 45406 and Thursday December 14 from 10AM to 11AM at the church. The funeral service will begin at 11AM with Rev. Barbara Wiechel officiating. Burial will be at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville. If desired, contributions may be made to the Fairview UMC Pipe Organ Fund.
