Obituary

Barbara Ruth Williams “Bobbie”

Age 90, passed away on July 8, 2026, peacefully in her home with her daughter by her side. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 15, 1935, to her parents, Lorraine (Lewis) and Edison E. Glosser. She was one of three daughters born of that union. Her sister, Audrey, was born in March of 1930. The third sister, Mary Anne, was born in December 1936. Their parents later divorced and Ed eventually remarried Dorothy Francis. From this marriage the fourth Glosser daughter was born in May 1954.

It was through a mutual friend that she met the love of her life, Raymond Williams. They married on January 23, 1954, and remained faithfully so until Ray’s passing from Alzheimer’s complications in July 2000. Their first born, a son, Michael Ray, was born a mere 10 months after their wedding. They later welcomed a daughter in July of 1960, Michelle. Another daughter was born prematurely in July 1961 but did not survive. Their second son, Mark, was born in June of 1966. Our parents gave us a wonderful life, filled with love, simple family fun, and the best camping experiences we won’t soon forget.

Bobbie, as she was known by close family was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Audrey (1930-2023) and Mary Anne (1936-2026), her firstborn son, Michael R. in 1995 at the age of 40, her infant great grandson, Nicholas Von Stein, and dear friend, Joyce Enscoe. Another dear friend, Doris Huff, passed 2 days after Bobbie.

Her remaining sister, Ladonna Glosser survives her along with her children, Mark and Michelle and her husband Jim; and 5 grandchildren, Rhys & Alison Stanley, Jennifer, Benjamin & wife Elizabeth, and Erik Williams. Also surviving her are her 6 great grandchildren, Summer & Sarah Von Stein, Grey & Lily Williams, and Natasha Damroth, Percy Quinn & Grayson Williams.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 from 12-1pm with funeral service to follow at 1:00pm at Rogers Funeral Home, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Burial will follow the service at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Trotwood. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
