Bernard W. "Ben" Falldorf

FALLDORF, Bernard W. “Ben” Age 85, of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, April 28, 2018. He was born June 24, 1932 in Brookville to the late Bernard and Dorothy (Cain) Falldorf. Ben was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Charlotte Kautz; brother, John Falldorf; and sister-in-law, Eileen Falldorf. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary; children, Dan (Kendy) Falldorf, Mary Kay (Doug) Reed, David (Tina) Falldorf, and Mark (Marisol) Falldorf; grandchildren, Danielle, Joshua, Matthew, Jessica, Ryan, Alley, Brittnie, Kelsy, and Cody; 17 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Falldorf; sister-in-law, Barbara Falldorf; and sister, Patricia Blow. After graduating from Dixie High School, Ben entered the U.S. Navy. He became a master plumber, was elected to New Lebanon village council, became the Fire Chief, then Mayor of New Lebanon. Ben went on to teach at MVJVS and become an auctioneer/realtor. The family will receive friends Thursday, May 3 from 5-7PM at the Brethren Church of New Lebanon, 32 S. Church St, New Lebanon, 45345. The funeral service will begin at 11AM at the church with Pastor Kyle Wardlaw officiating, and Pastors Bill Walk and Charlie Wiltrout assisting. Burial to follow at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon.
