Betty Lou Rike (Bantz) (Bollinger)

RIKE, Betty Lou (Bantz) (Bollinger) Age 88 of Trotwood, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015. She was born in Trotwood on Dec. 3, 1926 to her parents, Wilson & Ida F. (Bowser) Bantz, whom preceded her in death. Betty is survived by her sister, Beverly Focht; 2 daughters, Rhonda (Dave) Zink, and Terri (Roy) McGill, Jr.; grandchildren, Roy, III & Becky McGill; Thomas Zink & special friend, Suzie Hopson, Leslie & Becca McGill, and Karen & Andy McKeel; 3 great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Betty was a member of the Trotwood Church of the Brethren, served on the School Board and President of the Mother’s Club in 1961, Chairman of Youth Committee Van Doran YWCA, Campfire Girls Leader, Den mother for the cub scouts, and was well known as “Betty B” at the bank in Trotwood. Special thanks to the staff at Brookdale Place in Englewood for all their love and care. Visitation will be held from 10am-12pm with funeral service to follow at 12:00PM on Monday, March 9 at Rogers’ Funeral Home in Trotwood. Pastor Paula Bowser will officiate.
