Betty J. (Phipps) Seals

SEALS, Betty J. (Phipps) Age 81, of Dayton, formerly Harlan, Kentucky, went Home to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Sunday, November 13, 2016. She was born December 22, 1934 in Harlan, KY to the late George and Anna Phipps. Betty was preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Jones; grandson, Matthew Thomas Dempsey; and sisters, Delores Evans, Wanda Phipps, Reba Phipps, Carolyn Phipps, and Linda Phipps. She is survived by her children, Barbara Dempsey (Mike Fagan) and Thomas G. Seals III; grandchildren, Jason, Valerie, Kyle, and Bryan; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; siblings, Patricia Hill, Margaret VanWinkle, Paul Phipps, Gary Phipps, and Michael Phipps; and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. Betty enjoyed listening to bluegrass music, cooking and spending time with family. A Visitation will be held Friday, November 18 from 11AM to 1PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon with a Funeral Service to begin at 1PM. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon.
