Bonnie Thacker, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, peacefully passed away on November 10, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio, one day shy of her 72nd birthday. She was born on November 11, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio.

Bonnie cherished her career as a registered nurse after earning her Bachelor’s degree. She dedicated many years to her work, first at Miami Valley Hospital and later at the VA Medical Center. Her passion for nursing was evident, as she found great joy in caring for others.

Family was the cornerstone of Bonnie's life. She was a devoted wife to her husband, James Thacker, Sr., with whom she celebrated 50 wonderful years of marriage. Their bond was one of deep love and friendship, which enriched both their lives. Bonnie is also survived by her daughter, Shelly Thacker and husband Mike, and daughter-in-law, Melissa Thacker. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to her granddaughters: Amanda and partner Savana, Jaime, Katlynn, Brooklyn, and grandsons: Drake, Allen, and Darren. Bonnie's heart was further filled with joy as she anticipated the arrival of great-grandchildren: Kellan, Leia, Bradley, Brock, Keagan, and Kohen.

Bonnie also had to say goodbye to her son, James Thacker, Jr., and her mother, Rosalie Perciful (née Cameron), along with her father, John Perciful and brother, Charles Perciful, who preceded her in death.

Outside of her professional and family life, Bonnie enjoyed traveling, shopping, and had a particular fondness for shoes. She was known for her vivacious personality and will be remembered for her kindness and warmth.

The visitation for Bonnie will take place on November 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Homes, located at 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH 45345. A funeral service will follow from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
