COE, Carl Travis “Travie” Age 76, of West Milton, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday morning December 16, 2017. He was born May 15, 1941 in Athens, Ohio to the late Carl Chester and Edith Coe. In addition to his parents, Carl was preceded in death by his brother, Harold Coe; sisters, Pauline Smith, Luella Six, Goldie LaFollette, Lucille Bentley, and Edith Eads. Carl is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Jane (Gabbard) Coe; brother and sister-in-law, John and Betty Coe; sisters; Maxine Gabbard and brother-in-law, James Gabbard and Connie Taylor; daughters, Lisa Jane Smith of Huber Heights, Glenna Jean Galbreath and son-in-law, Andrew Galbreath of West Milton, and Cindy Joann Rhoads and son-in-law Troy Rhoads of Brookville; grandchildren, Kirin Larissa Galbreath, Jacob Allan Smith, Caleb Andrew Galbreath, and Karlie Danielle Brumbaugh; great grandson, Raleigh Andrew Grafton; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Carl retired from General Motors after 32 years, was an avid woodworker, and an owner and member of the International King Midget Car Club. Carl will be remembered as a loving, son, brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, but most of all, as a man who planned his work and worked his plan. A visitation will be held Thursday December 21 from 5-7PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, Trotwood. The funeral service will begin at 11AM on Friday December 22 at the funeral home with Pastor Carl Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery, Dayton.
