LIKOVETZ, Carl G. "Lik" Age 82, of New Lebanon, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2014. He was born April 1, 1931 in Dayton, to the late John and Mary (Arti) Likovetz. Lik was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 55 years, Leota; beloved son, Michael; brothers, Ernie and John Likovetz; and sisters-in-law, Jenny Likovetz and Marylee Sizemore. He is survived by his daughter, Mary (Wayne) Morris; step-grandson, Rhett (Shannan) Morris and their children, Lily, Henry, and Amelia; brother, Edward Likovetz; special friend, Marilyn Fies; brother-in-law, Bill (Kathy) Buxton; and many special nieces, nephews and a host of loving and dear friends in the New Lebanon and Brookville area. Lik was a member of the Germantown Fraternal Order of Eagles #2292, Brookville VFW Post #3288, Dayton Knights of Columbus Council #3754, and the Wolf Creek Rod and Gun Club. He was employed at NCR, was a bartender at Wampler's Tavern, and after retiring from the Montgomery County Parks and Recreation Department, Lik worked at the Larch Tree and Moss Creek Golf Courses. In the mornings, he could be found at McDonald's drinking coffee with the "Old-timers" group, which will sorely miss his presence. The Visitation will be Friday, March 28 from 5PM to 8PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 29 at 10:30AM at the funeral home, with Pastor Bobbie Predmore officiating. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon.
