Carrie L. Mummert

Carrie L. Mummert, born on December 2, 1959, in Logansport, Indiana, passed away on November 16, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Carrie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who brought warmth and joy to those around her.

Carrie cherished her family deeply. She is survived by her mother, Beverly Tanner; her husband, Roger Mummert; and their children: Brian (Janet) Spencer, Courtney (Jon) Wolfe, Kevin Mummert, and Jennifer (Brian) Melton; brother, Greg Tanner; brothers-in-law, Doug (Kelly Mummert and Dennis Mummert. She was a proud grandmother to Topanga, Teagan, Harmony, Ronan, Mackenzie, Savannah, Xander, Brylee, Gracie, and Theodore. Carrie also had many nieces, nephews, and extended family who will miss her dearly.

Carrie found happiness in life's simple pleasures. She enjoyed eating good food, watching movies, and playing word games and puzzles. Her love for her grandchildren was evident and brought her immense joy.

She is preceded in death by her father, Larry Tanner, her young grandson, Nathan Melton; sister-in-law, Sherry Mummert; and brother-in-law, Larry Mummert. 

The visitation for Carrie will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rogers Funeral Homes located at 324 W Main St, New Lebanon, OH 45345. A graveside service will follow on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at 10:30 AM at Arlington Cemetery, located at 8207 Arlington Road, Brookville, OH 45309.
