Carroll "Bud" L. Smith

SMITH, Carroll L. “Bud” Age 90, of New Lebanon, died November 2, 2014. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl and Opal Smith, both deceased of Trotwood, Ohio. He was a graduate of Madison Twp. High School at Trotwood, Ohio, Class of 1942. He worked at Dayton Rubber Co. for 15 years and Dayton YMCA for 26 ½ years. He retired from the YMCA in 1989. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Patricia of 30+ years; son, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry and Carol Smith; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Gary and Judy Steele; and daughter, Janice Gentry, all of Toms River, New Jersey; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Harold and Suzette Clay; daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joe and Tammy Howell; and son, Charles Haynes, all of Dayton, Ohio; son, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Haynes of Clayton, Ohio; son, Mr. and Mrs. Philip K. Haynes of Charleston, West Virginia; loved by grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Also, sister, Marilyn Jankowski of Dayton, Ohio, deceased. He was a member of the Brethren Church, Church of God, and Horizon of Hope. The visitation will be Wednesday, November 5 from 5-7PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The Funeral Service will begin at Noon on Thursday, November 6 at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Saunders officiating. Burial will follow the service at Eversole Cemetery, New Lebanon.
