Charles E. "Eddie" Boyce, Jr.

BOYCE, Charles E. “Eddie” Jr. Age 73, of New Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at Dayton VA Medical Center Hospice. He was born September 29, 1945 in Dayton, to the late Charles Sr. and Martha (Haines) Boyce. In addition to his parents, Eddie was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Boyce; and sister, Karen Cunningham. He is survived by the love of his life for 30 years, Joyce Short; sisters, Katherine Whitt, Gail (Craig) Lapham, and Linda (Don) Downs; and many more family and friends. Eddie was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, and a member, and former Commander, of the American Legion Post #762. He was a member of the Preble County Pool League, enjoyed fishing, camping, and just being outdoors. Eddie also enjoyed spending time at casinos and going to Las Vegas. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 26, 2019 from 12:30PM to 1:30PM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, New Lebanon. The funeral service will begin at 1:30PM with Pastor Jerry Carter officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton at 2:30PM. Eddie requested no flowers but contributions in his memory may be made to Dayton VA Medical Center, Voluntary Services (135), 4100 West Third Street, Dayton, Ohio 45428
