LOCKHART, Charles H. Age 77, of New Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 7, 2014 after a lengthy illness. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Bertha (Hayes) Lockhart; son, William J. Brummitt; and 6 siblings. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Donna; children, Dawn (Jeff) Leonard, Chuck (Michelle) Lockhart, and Channin Stone; grandchildren, Missi (Nelson) DeMoss, Danny (Amanda) Gentry, Jessica (Ben) Saunders, Gregory Leonard, Justin Leonard, Chuck Lockhart, McKenzi Lockhart, Halee Lockhart, Ciera Stone, Micala Stone, Madison Stone, Cydnie Stone; great grandchildren, Shelby DeMoss, Kylee DeMoss, Jacob DeMoss, and Peyton Saunders; great-great granddaughter, Kaeden Hawkins; sisters, Donna Phillips, Barbara Reed, and Linda Honious; brother, Jimmy (Joyce) Lockhart; sister-in-law, Betty Hayes; and many more nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Charles retired from UPS after 38 years of service as a diesel mechanic, dearly loved his kids and grandkids, enjoyed playing music on his guitar (especially to his grandkids), and tinkering on old tractors. A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, December 10 at 2PM at Bear Creek-Hillgrove Cemetery, Dayton, with Pastor Bill Walk officiating. Following the service at 3PM a Celebration of Life Service will take place at the New Lebanon Brethren Church, 32 S. Church St, New Lebanon.
