Charlotte S. (Swigart) Hammond

HAMMOND, Charlotte S. (Swigart) Age 88 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. Charlotte was born on June 16, 1924 in Pleasant Hill, Ohio to her parents, Daniel & Ivy (Neitman) Swigart. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hammond; 6 sisters, Vi Helman, Alice Hemmelgarn, Joy Swigart, Mildred Swigart, Marcella Miller, and Helen Brun; 4 brothers, Nevin, Rice, Gene, and Kenneth Swigart. Survived by her brother, Ralph Swigart; and sisters-in-law, Clara Hammond & Ruth Swigart. Son, Todd (Andi) Hammond; daughter, Hope (Bob) Appelbaum; 3 granddaughters, Samantha, Melissa, and Danielle; 5 grandsons, Tony, Tim, Matt, Murray, and Trey; 1 great-grandson, Reece; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives & friends. Charlotte retired from Elder Beerman after 24 years of service. She was an active member of Trotwood Church of the Brethren and a friend of Highland B.I.C. A Visitation will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 from 10-11 AM with Funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM at Trotwood Church of the Brethren, 208 E. Main St. 45426 with Pastor Paula Bowser officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Charlotte.
