Cheri Rogers

Cheri Rogers (Cheryl Ann Bernasek, also known as “Cici” to her grandchildren), Age 61, of Marblehead, Ohio, passed away on July 16th, 2024.

She is preceded in death by her mother Pamela and father Glenn Bernasek of Strongsville, Ohio.

She is survived by her loving husband Douglas Rogers, sister Traci Bernasek Jadlowiec (Kenny), son Nate Rogers (Renee), stepdaughter Natalie Mundie (Chris), her three beloved grandchildren Landon, Makenna, and Wren, extended family members and countless friends.

Cheri grew up in Strongsville, Ohio and attended Miami University before moving to central Ohio and meeting the love of her life, Doug. Cheri and Doug moved to her "happy place" for the last years of her life, enjoying "lake life", close knit circle of friends, and fellowship as a Eucaraistic Minister with St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Marblehead. Cheri was honored to perform wedding ceremonies for some of her closest friends and family members. Cheri was passionate about sharing her more than decade long cancer journey in hopes that her vulnerability and honesty could help others. She beat the odds over and over with her strength, her knight in shining armor at her side, her team of doctors, and her faith.

Her family and friends will celebrate her life on Saturday,August 17th with a visitation from 9-10am and Mass to follow from 10-11am at St. Joseph Church, 822 Barclay St., Marblehead, Ohio 43440. Following Mass family and friends are welcome to continue Cheri’s celebration at Gideon Owen Wine Company from 12-3pm, 3845 E. Wine Cellar Rd., Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 and look into the future embracing the joy, happiness, and love that she embodied throughout her life.
