Cheryl Ann "Cheri" Thacker

Cheryl Ann “Cheri” Thacker, 62, of Eaton, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Del Thacker and the devoted mother to Nikki (Donny) Martin, Brian (Audra) Citrigno and Beth (Jeff) Green. She was also “Mamaw” to her most favorite people, Sydney, Tyson, Austin, Makayla, Cheyenne, Avah, Lilly, Caitlin, CJ, Wes, Nathan, Chase, and Cameron. And the daughter to Tom and Joan McDonald; and sister to Cindy Horsely. She was preceded in death by her brother, Mark McDonald. Cheri loved her family with all her heart and being with them was her favorite thing in the world. Holidays, birthday celebrations, and pumpkin hunts will never be the same. Her giving heart, faith, and smile were the best things about her. She made sure everyone she came into contact with knew they were special. Whether it was a gift card or some super crafty thing she whipped up or the best hug ever! Cheri was a long-time member of Farmersville First Baptist Church where she was always willing to jump in and give her time. Whether it was the women’s ministry or one of her favorite events, vacation bible school. She gave her all and then some to everything she was a part of. To say she was “one of a kind” would be an understatement. Anyone that was lucky enough to know her would agree. The world is just a little bit darker without her bright light. We are sure she is dancing in heaven, no longer in pain, with all of our loved ones who went before her. A memorial visitation will be held from 3-4 PM with memorial service to follow beginning at 4:00 PM on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at the Farmersville First Baptist Church, 334 A N. Elm St., Farmersville, Ohio 45325. Pastor Dustin Vorhis officiating. A meal will follow the service at the church.
