Clara B. Porter

PORTER, Clara B. Age 82 of Richmond, IN, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2013 in San Antonio, TX. Clara was preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Porter and parents Layman & Ester McDermitt. She is survived by her 1 son, Mark (Roberta) Porter; 6 daughters, Dian (Walter) Landerer II, Jenny (Fred) Rennie, Mary (Cliff) Rose, Vernita Anderson, Clarinda (Ed) Hall and Julie Porter. Clara is also survived 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Clara worked for many years in the Housekeeping Dept. at Earlham College, where she also retired. Both Clara & Bill attended Verona Methodist Church for several years. A memorial service to honor Clara's life will be held 1:00pm Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Lewisburg United Methodist Church, located at 3147 U.S. Rt. 40 East in Lewisburg, OH, with Pastor Leo Cunningham officiating.
