Clarence V. Ellis

ELLIS, Clarence V. Age 95 of Trotwood, Ohio peacefully passed away on Monday, Oct. 16, 2017. He was born in Gainesboro, Tennessee to Willie Ellis and Emma Lee. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Flora Ellis; sons, James and Billy Ellis; stepsons, Larry, Albert (Linda) and Jerry (Ruby) Birt; grandson, Johnny Ellis; brother, Clayton; sisters, Pearl, Margaret, Ova, Dona, and Thenie. Clarence is survived by his daughter, Teresa Long; stepson, Marion (Mary) Birt; 26 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; and 30 great-great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces and nephews Clarence was an Army veteran who served in WWII. He retired from General Motors, Harrison Radiator Division, after 30 full years of service. He was the sole provider for his entire family and also loved working on cars and in his yard. He will truly be missed. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 11am-12pm with funeral to begin at 12:00 pm at Christ Temple of Apostolic Faith, 3241 Denlinger Road, Dayton, Ohio 45406. Elder Ernest Scales officiating. Burial will follow the service at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of Clarence V.
