Cora Jean "Corky" Leis

LEIS, Cora Jean "Corky" Age 88 of Kettering, formerly of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 12, 2014. She was born in Germantown, Ohio on December 3, 1925 to her parents, John & Cora (Chambers) Thompson. Preceded in death by her parents; and husband, George W. Leis; 2 brothers, Dale, and Warren; and 2 sisters, Martha, and June; and grandson, Randy Leis. She is survived by 2 sons, Gary (Barbara) Leis, and Don (Sherry) Leis; 4 grandchildren, April Curtsinger, and Brian, Logan, and Madison Leis; 4 great-grandchildren, Shane, J.D., and Hayley Curtsinger, and Cora Leis; 3 sisters, Mary, Jane, and Eleanor; and close friend, Chris Barry. Cora was a longtime member of Mt. Zion Church in Beavercreek where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Visitation will be held from 12-2 PM with funeral service to follow at 2:00PM on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at Rogers' Funeral Home, New Lebanon. Pastor Larry Stroble officiating.
