LENK, Cpl. Adrien Vaughn On the Afternoon of January 19, 2015 at approximately 4:00pm Adrien passed away in Camp Lejeune, NC, Adrien was 22 years old. Adrien was born in the town of Niles in Barrien County, Michigan on February 11, 1992. Adrien was the Second child and First son of Sheri Lynn Prather of London, Ohio and the First child and First son of William Vincent Lenk of Lancaster, Ohio. During his time in the Corps Adrien completed two tours in Afghanistan as well as served on the USS New York. Corporal Adrien Vaughn Lenk of Company A, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, United States Marine Corps was decorated with a Combat Action Ribbon, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Nato Medal-ISAF Afghanistan, as well as receiving a Letter of Commendation. In addition to selflessly serving his country Adrien also had many things in his life that he enjoyed. While he enjoyed sports, movies, books and music his true love was his friends and family, never was there a more loyal confidant than Adrien. Adrien was preceded in death by his Maternal Grandfather William Arthur Haynor and Paternal Grandmother Carolyn May Lenk; Adrien is survived by his Mother Sheri Prather (Craig), Father William Lenk (Sherri), Sister’s Danielle Glass (Jamie, Clive, & Liam), Tristan and Eleni Lenk, Brother’s Julian Lenk and Leif Whitehouse, Paternal Grandfather Hebert Lenk, Maternal Grandmother Toni Lee Haynor, Step Siblings Shane Prather, Ashley and Brandon Jett, as well as many other friends, family and colleagues. Adrien was so very loved in his life and will be so very loved hereafter. A visitation will be held from 12-2pm with funeral service to follow at 2:00PM on Thursday, Jan. 29 at Rogers’ Funeral Home, 324 West Main St. New Lebanon, Ohio 45345. Burial with Military honors will follow the service at Trissel Cemetery. Following the graveside, friends and family are welcome to attend a gathering at Adrien's sister's house, 9475 Strawser Street, Orient, Ohio 43146.
