Lawcock, Cynthia Dawn

Age 52, of Amherst, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born August 26, 1970, to her late parents Michael and Allie (Rose) DeHart in Dayton.

Cynthia is survived by her husband of 15 years, Michael Lawcock; children, Dustin (Kelli) Arvay, Kristin (Trevor) Poulton, Keegan (Randi) Lawcock; grandchildren, Delilah and Jamison Poulton, Iris Lawcock; stepfather, Michael James; siblings, Michelle (Scott) Smith, Michael (Kim) DeHart; and numerous extended family members.

Cynthia was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister. She was a 1988 graduate of Trotwood-Madison High School and worked for NCR for many years. Cynthia enjoyed reading James Peterson and John Grisham books, painting canvases and fishing lures, and cooking. Cynthia was always willing to help a family or friend. Spending time with her family, especially grandchildren, were most important to her.

Visitation for Cynthia will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, from 10:00am-11:00am with funeral service to follow 11:00am at Grace Baptist Church in Dayton. Pastor Donnie Smith to officiate. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery.
