Daniel James Corder, 66, of Brookville, Ohio passed away June 25, 2024, at home surrounded by his loving family after his hard-fought battle with cancer. Daniel was the seventh child born May 10, 1958 to Kenneth and Elizabeth Corder of Brookville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father Kenneth Corder, sister Lori Lynn Corder, Brothers-in-law William Shepherd and Robert Gault, and sister-in- law Diana Isbel. Left to celebrate his exceptional life is his wife of nearly 18 years Evelyn Donna Corder, his son Nathan Corder/Jennifer and grandchildren Alexandra and Gabriel along with his stepchildren Amanda Diaz/Genaro, Ashley Morris/Grant and Tyler Conley. Also, his mother Elizabeth Corder, siblings Christine Hickey/Lloyd, Carol Shepherd, Ray Corder/Susan, Jacolyn Gault, Carl Corder/HyeCha, Rebecca Clegg/Lyle and Joseph Corder/Mary. Mother-in-law Janet Haburn, Brother-in-law Marty Haburn/Lou Ann, and John Haburn. Dan was "Uncle Dan" to his many, much- loved Nieces, Nephews, Great Nieces and Great Nephews.
Always interested in all things mechanical, Dan started at an early age working on bicycles, lawn mowers, go-carts and then on to real cars. He spent many hours working on the Corder Family 1934 Chrysler Airflow trying to make it as original as possible, and many fun trips were had going to Airflow Club meets around the country. Dan recently retired from Reichard Chevrolet, previously Boose, where he was Parts Manager for many years; before that he worked at White Allen Chevrolet and Frank Z polishing his knowledge of automobile parts. His most recent projects were converting an old ambulance to an RV he planned to travel in and working with his son Nathan on his Typhoon truck. A family man, Dan adored his grandchildren, spending his days spoiling Lexi and Gabe, making Christmas traditions, and going to their band competitions and sports games. Dan knew no stranger and was always available to help family and friends when there was work to be done or a crisis to be handled. He was Mr. Fixit, reuse it, waste not want not, we can figure it out.
