David Michael Lewis - “Louie”

David “Louie”, age 68 passed away suddenly in his home on October 27th, 2025. Dave was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 8th, 1956 to the late Doris Payne and Ronald Lewis Sr. In addition to his parents, He was preceded in death by his two siblings Mary Ellen Henson and Anthony Wayne Lewis. Dave is survived by his children, Jesse Wayne (favorite daughter-in-law Elizabeth) Lewis & Holly Blake ; grandchildren Caitlyn, Charlotte, & Dylan Lewis, Tyla, Kyah, David, & Hayvn Blake; brothers, Ronald Lewis and William Henson; cousins, Micheal Honious, Neva Phillips, Yvonne Kronenberger, and Debbie Gibson and many nieces and nephews.

Dave worked for Digitron Inc. for many years before he retired and became a stay at home “Papaw”. Dave was known for always being there for family and friends in his life. He loved his mother, sister and granddaughters with a passion. He was known for always bringing them small treats and gifts to make them smile. He was the self-proclaimed “grill master” and no one could dispute it. He loved being with friends. He was the life of the party and always ready to tell a good joke. Dave loved the outdoors and could always be found by the lake with his pole in the water. He loved to travel and enjoy life to the fullest. He expected the best, to get the most enjoyment in everything he did. Dave “Louie” Lewis was a force to be reckoned with and will be missed by so many.

A memorial visitation will be held from 11am-1pm with  memorial service to begin at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 8th, 2025 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Procession will follow the service to Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery for burial of Dave's urn. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
