David Sorrell

SORRELL, David Age 80 of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018. David was born in Menifee County, Kentucky on September 23, 1937 to his parents Paul & Sarah (Centers) Sorrell who preceded him in death along with his son, Darryl Sorrell. David is survived by his sister, Anita (Bob) Kendig; 3 children, Dorenda Tingle, David (Karen) Sorrell, and Sarah Dawn Sorrell; 11 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren, other family members and friends. David was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a lifelong truckdriver and loved to travel. He also enjoyed bowling, camping, bluegrass music, and spending time with family, especially his great-granddaughter, Addilyn. Special thank you to Genesis Health and Rehab and Crossroads Hospice for their care and support. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 20th at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Chaplain Eric Newell and Pastor John Gibson officiating. A graveside service with military honors will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, Feb. 21st at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third St., Dayton, Ohio 45428.
