Dennis L. Bishop

BISHOP, Dennis L. Died at the Ohio Veterans’ Home, Georgetown, OH, on Saturday, November 28, 2015. Dennis was the third child, growing up in Dayton, OH. A member of the USAF, retired after 20 years. A Vietnam and Desert Storm veteran. He worked/retired as a Logistical/Logistics Supervisor from the Defense Electronics Supply Center. A member of First Lutheran Church. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Helen Bishop; also brothers, Kenneth and Michael. He is survived by wife, Nicole Kendall-Bishop; son, Blake L.K. Bishop of West Carrolton; grandchildren, Blair Bishop of Colorado, Brandon Hicks, Megan and Sedona Hadley, their mother, Sheila, of North Carolina. He is also survived by his sisters, Carol Oglesby and Sondra Ramey; and brother, Jack Bishop, of Dayton. Dennis was in the Roosevelt Basketball/Track programs, holding many records. He graduated in 1959. Visitation will be Thursday, December 3 from 9 to 10AM at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, Trotwood, with the funeral service starting at 10AM. Burial will follow at Dayton National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Lutheran Church, Dayton, in the name of Nicole Kendall-Bishop/ Blake L.K. Bishop.
