Dennis D. Simmons

SIMMONS, Dennis D. Age 73, of New Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2014. He was born December 24, 1940 in Wayside, WV to the late Dorsie and Sadie Simmons. Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Ruby Austin; and brother, Roy Simmons. Left behind to cherish his memory is his longtime companion, Elaine Mendenhall; son, Denny (Jean) Simmons of Clayton, OH; daughters, Vickie (Stan) McBride of Franklin, OH, and Kristy Daniels of Amelia, OH; grandchildren, Adam and Joe Martin, Zach and Luke McBride, Cody Damron, AJ and Dalton Simmons, and Amanda and Alex Heffington; great grandchildren, Chloe, Kohl, and Aliyah; sister, Eunice (Burt) Kempey of Clearwater, FL; brothers, Ralph (Vivian) Simmons of Cincinnati, OH, Ronald (Janet) Simmons of Monroe, OH, Gene (Carol) Simmons of Roswell, NM; and countless nieces and nephews. Dennis was a Past Master of Farmersville Masonic Lodge #482, Sons Commander of Post #24 for countless years, and retired from Chrysler after 30 years of service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 30 from 12PM to 2PM at ROGERS' FUNERAL HOME, 324 W. Main St., New Lebanon, 45345. The Funeral Service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Jon Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Trissel Cemetery, New Lebanon. A gathering will take place after the burial at the American Legion Post #762, New Lebanon.
