Dewayne “Sam” Phillips

Age 89 of New Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on March 27, 1936 to his parents, Howard and Faye Phillips. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Janice Phillips; son, Rick Phillips, 2 sisters, Patty Heck and Nancy Hancock; brother Jim Phillips; and sister-in-law, Dorothy “Dodie” Davis.

Sam is survived by his brother-in-law, Bob Davis; nephew Doug (Jessica) Davis; Jessica’s parents, Bob and Tina Bryenton; Doug and Jessica’s children, Reed and Drew Davis; and many more extended family and friends.

Sam retired from Toolcraft Products after 42 years of service. He loved cars, Mustangs especially. Sam enjoyed sports, including the Reds and Cleveland Cavaliers and was a member of the New Lebanon Brethren Church. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held from 12-1pm with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Interment will follow at Trissel Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
