Dewey M. Yeary

YEARY, Dewey M. Age 86 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015. Dewey was born in Ben Hur, VA on May 20, 1929 to his parents, Hugh Roy & Della (DeBoard) Yeary. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Alvin, and Carl Yeary; great-grandchild, Amanda Vaughn; and son-in-law, Scott Kuhn. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Wanda Yeary; 3 children, Priscilla F. Kuhn, Wayne (Beth Bushong) Yeary, and Rick Yeary; his K-9 companion, Lady Lou; brother, Roy (Wanda) Yeary; sisters, Jewel Carter, and Lucy (Andy) Taylor; grandchildren, Crystal (Jim) Hill, Melisa (Craig) Westfall, Lisa (David) Whitesell, Dustin Yeary, and Andrew (Devon) Yeary; great-grandchildren, Sherrie (Anthony) Colon, James (Janelle) Hill, Jacob Hill, Alisha (Nick) Whitesell, Jonathon Vaughn, Austin Westfall, Chrisondra Garrett, Cydney Whitesell, and Airrika Westfall; great-great-grandchildren, Christopher-Alynn Payzant, Jalynn Hill, and Jeremiah Hill; and numerous other family members and close friends. Dewey was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army-Air Corp. He retired from Laborer’s Local 1410 and was a 34 year member at Brookville Lake Resort. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing, mushroom hunting, and was an avid treasure hunter. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015 at Rogers Funeral Home, 324 West Main St., New Lebanon, Ohio 45345.
