Diane Lawson
Age 74 of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 28, 2024. Born July 28, 1950 in Hindman, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bonnie Stacy, her sisters Sue Guenther and Danya Levi, as well as her grandson Joshua Lawson.
Diane is survived by her children James (April) Lawson, Tamara (J.D. Hoover) Lawson, & John (Bradley Slye) Lawson; grandchildren Elisha Lawson, Jodiah Slone, Christopher Stayte, Briana (Bryant) Rose, Sean (Julie) Jones, Joshua Gross, and Aaron Lawson; great grandchildren Zander Lawson and Aiden Jones. Also, long time family member Jennifer Fleming, special friends Susan Hamblin and Linda Vance, as well as a large loving church community; and her beloved fur-babies Marco and Tony Lawson.
Diane was a devoted member of Union Pentecostal Church for more than 30 years, and a caring volunteer in food services at the Life Enrichment Center for many years. She lived a simple life, but we do believe that this simple life made her exactly who she was. Her savior, without a doubt, was first in her life but because of that one love, what flowed freely from her was unmeasurable. She was one of the kindest people you could ever meet with a willingness to help others. She was a loving and devoted daughter to her parents caring for both of them until their passing. Our hearts are heavy as we embark into a world without her, we have lost our matriarch, and our closest friend.
Visitation will be held from 11am-1pm with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Union Pentecostal Church. Rev. Clifford Hurst Officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed online at: www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
