Donald E. Botkin

BOTKIN, Donald E. Age 74 of New Lebanon, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2018. He was born in Dayton on February 6, 1944 to his late parents Ernest Eugene & Barbara (Bowman) Botkin. Don is survived by his wife of 42 years, Martha Botkin; son, Brett (Shelly) Botkin; daughter, Leah (Pete Morris) Botkin; grandchildren, Elliot & Darbi Botkin; and many more extended family members and friends. Don enjoyed drag racing for many years and was Veteran of the U.S. Army 24th Infantry Division. He retired from Delco Products after 30 years and owned his own excavating business. Don kept very busy as a member of the Cardinals Motorcycle Club, Past Commander of American Legion Post #762, Past Montgomery County Commander; member of the Minerva Masonic Lodge #98 in Miamisburg, Past President of the Miami Valley Airstream Club; Manager and Trustee of Trissel Cemetery, and he was even a registered Girl Scout, avid traveler, and gear head. He truly enjoyed life. Visitation will be held from 2-4:30pm on Sunday Dec. 16th with Masonic and Poppy services to begin at 4:30pm at Rogers’ Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Funeral service will be Monday Dec. 17th at 2:00 pm also at the funeral home. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Trissel Cemetery. Pastor Jerry Carter Officiating.
