DERRINGER, Donald J. “Pepper” Age 85 of Dayton, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021. He was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 22, 1936 to his parents, Clyde & Marie Derringer. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle; step-son, Ricky Freeders; grandson, Brian Meade; and several siblings. Pepper is survived by his wife, Rosalie Derringer; 4 children; 4 step-children; and numerous other family members and friends. Pepper retired as a sheet metal worker and was a member of Local Union 24. His hobbies included restoring old cars, playing guitar, listening to country music, and being a part-time pig farmer. Pepper was also commissioned a Kentucky Colonel. A visitation will be held from 10-11am with funeral to begin at 11:00am on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Pastor Eric Meade will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek-Hillgrove cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
