Donald Ray Johnson, Jr.

Age 40, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Maxine Johnson; and maternal grandparents, James and Dorothy Heyduck.

Donald is survived by his father, Donald Johnson, Sr.; mother, Patricia Heyduck; sisters, Angela (Garrett) Campbell and Amy Combs Hill; special friends, Jamie Foster, Melissa Berry, Heather Sullivan, Big T, Barry (uncle), and Michelle Hodson and many family and friends (too many to mention).

Donald loved spending his time writing (just to note, he had to write with Sharpies, and they had to be particular colors including blue, black, red, and green- he loved those markers). He loved coloring, marking off each day in his calendars, loved stickers, watching tv (especially MeTV shows), and talking on the phone. He loved the holidays (especially Thanksgiving and Christmas). He loved birthdays, Spider-Man, Scooby-doo, Pepsi, and food (tacos, pizza, and the Turkey leg at Thanksgiving were a few of his favorites). He loved his Mommy, his Dad, and his sissies. He loved his animals: Jasper and Rosie. He loved all of his family and friends, and really just loved everyone he came in contact with. He always had to shake your hand and tell you his name. A few sayings we will miss Donald saying every day are “Call me”, “Yes, I do”, and him telling Garrett “Be good to my sissy”. Donald was always happy, easy to please, and was just a gentle soul. He is already very missed.

Visitation will be held from 4-6pm with funeral service to begin at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 28th at Rogers Funeral Home. Graveside will be 10am Friday morning at Trissel Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
