Donald R. Powell “Don”

Age 73 of New Lebanon, Ohio passed away Aug. 31st, 2024 while surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 3rd, 1951 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Dale & Marilyn Powell. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jack & Dale Powell; sister, Janet Powell; foster parents, Lawrence & Marie Lavy, and Lucille Bayer.

He is survived by his wife, Kay, of 53 years; their children, Donnie Ray Powell II (Ashley Kincaid), Jamie A. Powell, and Courtney K. Powell; grandchildren, Shelby Powell, Kayla Powell, Trent Powell (Kiara), Jaydin Baker, Drew Powell, Donnie Powell III, and Layne Powell; step grandchildren, Zach Wright, and Seth McGlocklin; great grandchild, Cali Powell; sister, Patti (Bil) Fowler from Florida; half-sister, Kathleen Bayer; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, Eddie Brock & Betty Banfill.

Don had his own business, D.R. Powell & Sons Painting, for 37 years. He loved to paint, and enjoyed basketball, yard work and activities with his grandkids.

Visitation will be held from 4-7pm on Sunday, September 8th at Rogers Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 12:00pm on Monday, September 9th also at Rogers Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service at Trissel Cemetery. www.RogersFuneralHomes.com
