Doris Delaine Lewis

Age 88, of Beavercreek, passed away on Friday, May 2, 2025. She was born March 31, 1937 in Clayton, Ohio to her parents, Francis Edward & Velma Lucille (Fox) Lock.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Paul Lewis; her brothers Eddie, Dale, Larry and John Lock; sisters Phyllis Taylor and Violet Fugate; brothers-in-law Ken Taylor and Austin Fugate; son-in-law Jimmy Horn.

Doris is survived by her loving daughters, Suzanne Horn and Monika (Robin) Gibson; brothers, David (Carol), William (Hazel), and Dennis (Karol) Lock; sisters-in-law Florence and Sharon Lock; 3 grandchildren, James (Jennifer) Horn, Angela and Kristin Gibson; 6 great-grandchildren, Andrea, Haley, Nolan and Logan Gibson, Tyler and Cody (Abby) Horn; 4 great-great-grandchildren, Maddox Arnold, Chase Bowsman, Myles and soon-to-be Baby Girl Barnard; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Doris loved visiting family and friends, celebrating family events and reminiscing about the past, she enjoyed eating out, going on family vacations, camping, fishing and going to county fairs and festivals but her most favorite thing was spending time with her grandchildren.

She was loved by us all and will be terribly missed. Not long before she took her last breath in the ICU room...a little voice was quietly overheard saying, “Nana, you were the best Nana I could have asked for, I love you Nana, I’ll miss you so much”, and with tears freely running down his cheeks, he leaned up and kissed her forehead and then quietly laid his head on her chest for a few minutes.

Visitation will be held from 12-1pm with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Interment will follow the service at Sugar Grove Cemetery in West Alexandria. Condolences may be expressed at:
