Doris (Barga) Rindler

RINDLER, Doris (Barga) Age 93, died peacefully in her home on April 3, 2016. She was born in North Star, Ohio, to the late Clarence and Irene (Groff) Barga on March 1, 1923, the fourth of six children. Doris appreciated beauty in all forms. She enjoyed painting, quilting, sewing, and traveling, and was an accomplished musician. Doris loved to share her unshakable faith in God and was an active member of Precious Blood Catholic Church for over 60 years as an organist, catechist, sponsor, mentor, lector and Charismatic Prayer Group member. Doris especially enjoyed sharing Our Lord in the Eucharist to the homebound and as a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital. Preceded in death by her beloved husband Paul and daughters Margaret and Barbara. Survived by her sister, Sr. Maura Barga, RSM; brother David (Thelma) Barga; sisters-in-law Della Mae Cox, Barbara Mangen, Doris (Bernie) Phlipot, and Carol Rindler; brothers-in-law Bob (Betty) Rindler and Lee Hull; children Jim (Bernadette) Rindler, June (Gary) Schindler, Jim Sicnolf, Patricia (David) Delaney, Mary Ann Pera, Mark (Alice) Rindler, Rosemary (Mike) Prier, and John Rindler; 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Special thanks to caregivers Delores and Tracie and, from Hospice of the Miami Valley, Ruthie and Billie Sue. Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday, April 8, at 10:30am at Precious Blood Church, 4961 Salem Avenue with Rev. James Seibert, C.PP.S. officiating. Lunch will follow immediately with interment at Calvary Cemetery after lunch. Visitation is Thursday, April 7, from 5-8pm at Precious Blood Church.
