Douglas M. Penney

PENNEY, Douglas M. Age 75 of New Lebanon passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2016. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Edythe & Glenn Penney. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Betty; 2 sons, Todd (Terri), and Kevin (Heather Hayslip); grandchildren, Andrew, Colleen, Daniel, and Tyler, Brad (Megan) & Isaac Combs. His brother, Charles (Janet) Penney; nephew, Gary (Cindy); niece, Barbie Camuti; and many more extended family and lifelong friends which certainly include his Lake Erie fishing buddies. Doug was a Charter Boat Captain of 20 years on Lake Erie. He enjoyed fishing, folk music, and watching his grandchildren play sports. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Grandview Hospital and Hospice of Dayton for their excellent care. Visitation will be held from 10-11 AM with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM on Monday, Oct. 3, 2016 at Slifers Presbyterian Church, 2999 S. Clayton Rd., Farmersville, Ohio 45325.
