Edith Sumner

SUMNER, Edith Age 83 of Kettering, passed away Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Hospice of Dayton with her family by her side. She was preceded in death by her father, Stanley; mother, Allie Combs-Scott; 4 siblings, Troy, Stanley Jr., Alfred, and Lois; and her son, Donald. Edith is survived by her son, Michael (Nancy) Sumner; 2 daughters, Patricia (Ted) Turner, and Peggy (Charles) Turner; 11 grandchildren, Shawn, Samantha, Michael Joe, Nicole, Tina, Debra, William, Josh, David, Zachary and Brittany; and 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME, NEW LEBANON, 324 W. Main St. 45345, with Pastor Dr. Randy Grimes of the Open Bible Christian Church, Dayton, Ohio, officiating. Interment will follow at Bear Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the start of the service. If desired, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton in memory of Edith.
