Edna Marion Boldt

BOLDT, Edna Marion (nee VandeVrede) Age 86 of Brookville, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016. She was born in Woodville, Wisconsin on September 3, 1929 to her parents, Adrian & Mary (Blok) VandeVrede whom precede her in death along with her husband of 44 years, Robert William; son, Craig; granddaughter, Faye Gabbard; and 4 siblings, Connie Davis, Wesley, Tony, and Leon. Edna is survived by 2 sons, James (Julia) Boldt, and Gregory (Irina) Boldt; daughter, Cheryl (Chuck) Hough; sister, Tanny (Al) Barck; grandchildren, Christopher (Lucy), David (Camille), Brandon, Olivia (Rodney), Jessica, Brian, Gretta, and grandson-in-law, Chris Gabbard; She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ethan, Aubree, A.J., Peyton, John Ross, Scarlet, and Michael; great-great granddaughter, Thea; dear friend, Elli; and loyal K-9 companion, Peter. Edna had an enjoyable career spanning 45 years as a Registered Nurse. She worked professionally at local hospitals and Hospice before eventually retiring from Good Samaritan Hospital. After retirement she was a full-time volunteer at Grace Brethren Village. She was also a longtime member of First Grace Brethren Church. Edna was the family caretaker for numerous loved ones. She was loved and will be dearly missed. Visitation 10-11 am on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Rogers Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Trotwood, Ohio 45426 with procession to Pleasant Hill Cemetery for a graveside funeral service to follow immediately after the visitation.
