Edward A. "Jr" Cook

COOK, Edward A. “Jr” Age 81 of Trotwood, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018. He was born in Brookville, Ohio on April 3, 1937 to his parents, Edward T. “Treva” & Ruby (Hess) Cook who precede him in death along with his sister, Geneva Adkins; step-brother, George Brown Jr.; and step-son, Terry McCoy. Ed is survived by his wife of 40 years, Thelma Cook; daughter, Lisa (John) Noe; son, Greg (Missy) Cook; step-sons, Danny McCoy, and Randy (Kim) Rust; adopted children, Rick (Carol) Cook, Dave Cook, and Donna (Bill) Beavins; grandchildren, Nikki, Lee, Allen, Hunter, Morgan, Ashley, Becky, Scott, Chrissy, Sarah, Elizabeth, Meghan, Brad, and Nicole; 2 brothers, Ron, and Bobby Hayworth; and numerous other family members and friends. Ed was an excellent athlete in his younger years. He was inducted in the Brookville High School Hall of Fame for all sports and was part of the Air Force Northeast Command 1957 World Championship in baseball. Ed was a proud veteran of the U.S Air Force, Plant Super Intendant & Supervisor for Vindale Corporation, and retiree of G.M. after over 30 years of service. In his later years he still enjoyed sports, especially bowling and golf. He will be dearly missed. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday evening at Rogers Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Funeral service will be Saturday morning 10:30 am also at the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at Fairview Cemetery in West Alexandria.
