Emma Marie Haws

HAWS, Emma Marie (Tschabrun- nee Caden) Age 94 of Dayton, formerly of West Alexandria, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Elmcroft of Washington Township. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on October 18, 1920 to her parents, Harry & Emma (Rotterman) Caden. Emma was preceded in death by her parents; most recent husband, Clifford E. Haws; 1st husband, John A. Tschabrun; daughter, Bernadette A. Tschabrun; son, John F. Tschabrun; daughter, Bonnie L. Dixon (Tschabrun); daughter, Cindy M. Stewart-Clarkson (Tschabrun); son-in-law, Wilbur E. Stump; grandson, Anthony C. Stewart; great-grandson, Matthew J. Dunaway; 3 brothers, Harry, Elmer, and Herman Caden; and sister, Elizabeth Bankard (Caden). Emma is survived by her brother & sister-in-law, Fred and Bea Caden; sister, Marguerite Aker (Caden); 2 daughters, Emma Jean Blevins (Tschabrun), and Mary Frances Stump (Tschabrun); 2 sons-in-law, Kenny Dixon, and Bob Clarkson; stepchildren, Ginny (Haws) and Roger Simpson, Debbie (Haws) and Bob Post, Steve and Nancy Haws; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and 9 great-great-grandchildren. Emma enjoyed music, gardening, and was an avid sports fan, especially baseball. She always kept a positive attitude even in times of grief and loss. She will be missed. Visitation will be held from 4:30-7:00 PM with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at Rogers’ Funeral Home in New Lebanon. Pastor Tim Livingston officiating. A graveside service will then be held Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at Calvary Cemetery, 1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409.
