Erna T. Hargraves

Erna T. Hargraves, age 76, of Trotwood, OH, died in her home from a broken heart on the morning of Thursday, January 19th, 2012. She is preceded in death by her husband, MSgt. James C. Hargraves, US Army, Ret., and her son, Benny Hargraves, who died suddenly on October 15th, 2011. Her legacy of kindness and strength lives on in Dayton, Ohio through four daughters: Dolores (s: Michael) Berg, Janice (s: Rick) Daulton, Rebecca (s: David) Hargraves-Richards, Carolina (so: Chad) Hargraves, and daughter-in-law Gena Hargraves. She is also survived by her sister Hannelore (s: Jochen) Keβler of Grafenwöhr, Germany, and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. Her legacy also includes grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved grandchildren are Dawn (f: Moses) Amos, Heather Lowe, Jacob Berg, JoHannah (so: Ben) Kautz, Alexander (s: Shayna) Daulton, Hannelore Hargraves, Alan Richards, Linzi Hargraves, Benjamin Hargraves, Shaun Snyder, James Bailey and Zachery (s: Casey) Bailey. Beloved great-grandchildren are Jordan, Julian, Kaiden, Ashley, Makayla, Olivia, Kayla, Caleb, Nolen, Sammy, Peyton, Ryland, and Aaron. Erna's family, friends, and loved ones will gather for funeral mass at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 24th, 2012, at St. Christopher Catholic Church, 435 East National Rd., Vandalia, OH, followed by procession and internment at Royal Oak Memorial Gardens, 7217 National Rd., Brookville, OH.
