Eugene Summers

SUMMERS, Eugene Age 81 of Dayton, formerly of New Lebanon, went to be with the Lord after passing at his residence on Saturday, March 12, 2011. He was born in Sharpsburg, KY on April 16, 1929 to Charlie Summers and Rosa Belle Sorrell. Eugene was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Virginia M. (Steele); 5 brothers, Adrian, Ewell, Charles, Clinton, and Ronald; 2 sisters, Lorena Wood, and Betty Marker. He is survived by 2 sisters, Pauline LoPresti, and Carolyn Henn; 1 son, Gene Michael (Tammy) Summers; 1 daughter, Rosa Lee Summers, 2 grandsons, Brent and Justin; and numerous nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, March, 18, 2011 at ROGERS’ FUNERAL HOME in TROTWOOD, 110 W. Main St. 45426 with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
