Everett Griffin, Jr.

Everett Griffin, Jr. was born on July 7, 1952, in Bristol, VA. He passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026. Everett was a vibrant and engaging individual who lived life to the fullest. He was a dedicated member of The Revive Church for 10 years, where he built meaningful connections with his community.

Everett cherished the outdoors and preferred spending time outside over watching television. He enjoyed playing games, fishing, working on his car, and often found staying busy rather than sitting still. He had a natural ability to connect with others, and his love for both people and animals was evident to everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving family, including his sister, Barbara (Frank) Herzog; brothers Ernest (Patty) Griffin and Harold (Lisa) Griffin; niece Cherish (Jerry) Gray; nephews Robert (Gina) Griffin and Jason Herzog; niece Amanda Herzog (Brian Schwass); great nephews Alec Gray, Adam Gray, and Coltin Griffin; and great nieces Abby Gray and Ruby Schwass.

Everett was preceded in death by his parents, Everett Griffin Sr. and Hassey "Ruby" (Lowe) Griffin, as well as his great nephew, Collin Griffin. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know him.
