Age 72 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1951 in Detroit, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Fitzgerald, father Hobart Stewart, sister Joyce Selherst (Bruning) and younger brother Fred Bruning.

She is survived by the love of her life, husband Johnny Tumbleson of 35 years, brother John Carpenter, son Thomas Oney Jr. (Patty), daughter Autumn Oney (Chuck), 6 grandchildren Allyssa (Alex), Alexus (Kyle), Haley, Karoline, Paige “America”, and Olivia. 4 great grandchildren Kody, Josiah, Elleigh and Alyah. Endless friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Fay lived fiercely for her lord and savior. To spread selfless love to everyone she encountered stranger or not. Her love for people and caring for people led her to spend her working time as a waitress, working at St. Josephs Treatment Center, the Riverside School District as a Bus Aid, to ending her working time as a Home Health Care Aid. She absolutely loved and cherished spending time with her family and friends, the greatest magic she ever created was in the moments she spent with the ones she loved so much. She enjoyed cooking a home-cooked meal full of grandma’s love, traveling to the best views of the country with her husband, collecting Native American Art pieces, watching any football teams on the tv, attending festivals and especially Bluegrass music. She appreciated nature and loved spending time outdoors enjoying the beauty of the land God made. She was a free spirit on this earth and left her mark wherever she stood, seeing the best in everything and the beauty of life. Being “Nana” was her most proud title and she breathed peace, love and rock & roll. She will be missed beyond any description of words, and she is watching down on us until we all meet her again. Never a goodbye, just a see you later.

A Celebration Of Life will be held at The Way of The Cross Church located at 612 Beatrice Drive in Dayton. It will be held on February 10, 2024 at 1:00 pm. All friends and family are welcome to join.
